Introduction
Gaming and social media are both terms that carry mixed feelings and thoughts when presented to different age groups. Yet one thing that all of them can’t deny is that modern society is garnering towards a world that heavily relies on them whether it is on the economic or social perspective.
With the saying there are two sides to a coin, the question is that how does one balance and manage being on the right side. In fact, with the recent occurrence of the worldwide pandemic, it has quickened the pace of the exposure of the two topics to individuals and we see a growing trend and statistic of people falling into the issue of addiction.
One of the key components towards prevention is having knowledge and knowing how to apply it. This workshop will attempt to achieve that. Counsellors, lay leaders, people-helpers and those interested in understanding deeper on the topic of this disorder. We will embark on a quick journey to explore what contributes towards the problem, the effects of the problem, and devising a suitable approach towards it.
