The LCC program is designed to equip Christians with essential counselling skills and knowledge, enabling them to serve in their local churches and assist individuals within their communities. By integrating Biblical teachings with psychological principles, the program empowers participants to help others navigate life’s challenges more effectively.

Course Details
- Basic Counseling Skills provides students with the core micro skills that are necessary in building strong and trusting relationship with the counselees.
- Family Counseling focuses on complex family dynamics and how they affect each individual as well as the group.
- Life Stages deal with understanding the important needs of critical stages of life and basic skills to counsel those in the Childhood, Adolescence, Adulthood, and Senior Citizens stages
- Crisis and Disaster cover grief support, suicide prevention & intervention, psychological first aid in trauma counselling, community counselling and crisis intervention.
- Sexuality & Addiction cover sexual orientation, pornography and sex addictions and gaming and social media addictions.
- General Mental Health consists of training to help participants understand mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, grief and loss, stress management and also understand how mental disorders like bipolar and schizophrenia affect the individuals, families, communities and churches.
- Electives will be offered to complement the main categories with courses on such topics as coaching, marriage or community counselling etc bringing in speakers who have expertise in their fields.
- Supervision offers guidance on real life cases by participants to help strengthen their application of theories and skills.
Fees
NACC Members: RM50 per workshop (if enrolled in the full programme)
NACC Members: RM70 per workshop
Non-NACC Members: RM100 per workshop
Location
Most of the classes/workshops will be held in NACC Office. However, if a group of churches/pastors’ fellowship were to anchor the event, these trainings can be conducted in their locality, subject to the minimum requirements on the number of participants.
Frequency
Workshops are typically conducted once a month on a Saturday morning except for some courses like Basic Counseling Skills (8 Saturdays) and Family Counseling (4 Saturdays). Intensive weekend workshops can be arranged.
Duration
This certificate course can be done between two to three years.
Credit Transfers
This 60 hour certificate is accepted as transfer credits for entry into accredited courses at most Malaysian seminaries.
