Profile I began my career in community work in 2005 primarily in the area of supporting parents affected by disabilities by providing early intervention and employment support, resource development, counselling and case management.

I apply the principles of positive behavioural strategies in managing children who are commonly diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD), learning difficulties and with behavioural challenges. The foundation of my knowledge and understanding in the field of Psychology enable me to enrich individual with disabilities reaching their fullest potential using the strength-based approach.

The learning curve became steeper in these recent years, as I journeyed alongside individuals and families affected by substance used, imprisonment and sexual based gender violence. I am inspired and intrigued by the systemic framework when families experienced the redefined relationships and equipped with better coping mechanisms within the family as well as in the community.

I have been actively involved in facilitating training for parents and educators as I strongly believes that they need to be trained with practical knowledge in the principles of behaviour management and communication skills to understand their children better.

Alongside my career in the area of mental health services, I have developed an array of experiences in conducting awareness programmes in promoting and understanding mental health wellness on various topics ranging from parenting, relationship, work life balance, stress management at different settings. I am fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
